this work left me memorized, the soundtrack is a soft eerie and powerful collection of sounds and in effect turns the technically perfect and simple shots of Lohan into a work that refects the feelings of smpahty and innocence.
In saying this the piece is also very sensual and seductive; relying heavily on the viewers previous knowledge on who and what Lohan is and what she represents.
i was entranced by this piece and viewed the reel over 15 times when i was in the gallery. I think this is due to the soundtrack that accompanied the footage more than anything, however, it was perfectly shot and edited.
* I think in the future I would like to shoot something like this and create a powerful backtrack to accompany it, although i’ll probably use a subject that isn’t as famous. (he he)
